Wine cellars

History
First written records on Herzegovina´s wines we find in the Middle Age, and the first contingent was over Trieste exported to Europe in 1883. Numerous medals, which they were awarded at the international wine fairs, prove the quality. First gold medals were awarded in 1898 and 1900 in Vienna, in 1901 in Paris and in 1903 in London. Interesting information for this area is that Hungarians, being excellent winegrowers, first rose in 1892 12 hectares of winegrower´s plantations and some time later a wine cellar. Hapsburg court in Vienna was supplied with wine of the exceptional quality, Lastva´s wine Zilavka. Before the outset of the First World War, Hungarians sold their vineyards and the wine cellar to Scepo Vujicic, who continued the tradition of production of quality wines.
